Far too often we expect children to develop stories ‘at the drop of a hat’. This collection provides the prospective writers with the opportunity to collect and their thoughts by drawing a picture – and then commence the creative writing process.
A collection of A4 sheets, each providing a focus for storytelling through drawing and writing. The pages can be enlarged to A3 size through printing to address the requirements of less-sighted students. Children often select these activities as their ‘favourites’ and store them in personal folders.
The YELLOW level is all about maintaining firm foundations for learning, and extending and supporting individual interests. At this stage ‘I can do it!’ is often heard, so please don’t push too hard for an involvement. Step back but always retain you right to do what you think must be done. Tread carefully.
